Dr. Matti Asuma, MD, FAAOS, is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in adult hip and knee reconstruction. As a former Chief of Orthopedic Surgery at Irwin Army Community Hospital in Fort Riley, Kansas, Dr. Asuma served as an orthopedic surgeon deployed with the 67th Forward Surgical Resuscitative Team. Dr. Asuma earned his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington. He has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications and presented nationally on hip and knee arthroplasty.
