Five significant biometric numbers can help you and your Family Medicine Provider can determine if you are at risk for heart disease, the leading cause of death for both men and women in the United States.  While heart disease can be a scary topic to think about, it shouldn’t keep you from being proactive when it comes to your heart and overall health! Five key numbers are critical to have checked by your primary care physician to see if there are any concerning issues regarding your heart.  While people with a family history of heart disease are at a higher risk for developing symptoms, you can monitor your levels and stay up-to-date with healthy habits to keep your numbers where they need to be, as determined by your primary care physician.
