- Medical Degree — Doctor of Medicine from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in Madison, WI
- Residency — Family Medicine, Obstetrics track at Gunderson Health Systems in La Crosse, WI
Dr. Kamps-Schmitt greatly enjoys being a primary care provider and getting a chance to develop long-standing relationships with each patient and their families. She understands some of the barriers that patients may be facing and helps navigate and find resources for those in need to help better their health and wellness. Dr. Kamps-Schmitt also prides herself on being a resource for her patients to develop collaborative treatment plans and options that they feel are best for themselves and their families.
Special Interests: Dr. Kamps-Schmitt has strong interests in women’s health, obstetrics, and pediatrics. She will be seeing patients in both family medicine at Southwest Health’s Platteville and Kieler Clinic.
Dr. Kamps-Schmitt is originally from the area and decided it was for herself and her family to come back closer to home and help serve and take care of the community where she grew up. Being from a rural community, she enjoys connecting with patients with similar backgrounds.
