FOR STUDENTS IN GRADES 5-8

Pre-Teen Mental Health Support Group

Southwest Health is offering a summer support group designed specifically for pre-teens to explore mental health, build coping skills, and strengthen resilience in a safe, supportive environment.

Led by Mental Health Therapist Ashley Dixon, MSW, LCSW and Social Worker Kaitlin Klug, MSW, CAPSW, this group provides a welcoming space where participants can connect with peers, learn practical tools, and engage in meaningful conversations.

What to Expect & Who Should Attend

Each session will include:

  • Guided discussions on mental health and emotional awareness
  • Activities focused on coping skills and resilience
  • Opportunities for peer connection and support
  • A safe, respectful environment for open conversation
  • Snacks and drinks will be provided.

This group is open to students entering 5th through 8th grade who are interested in:

  • Learning more about their mental health
  • Building healthy coping strategies
  • Connecting with peers in a supportive setting

Time: 6:00–7:00 PM
Location: EMS Conference Room, Southwest Health 1350 Eastside Road, Platteville, WI
