Pelvic Health Education Event for Pregnancy & Postpartum Wellness

Southwest Health invites community members to attend a free educational presentation focused on pelvic health during pregnancy and postpartum on Tuesday, April 14 at 5:30 PM in the EMS Conference Room at Southwest Health, located at 1350 Eastside Road in Platteville, Wisconsin.

Pelvic Health During Pregnancy & Postpartum will feature expert insights from Amber Roche, PT, DPT, and Molly Hoppenjan, PT, DPT, LAT, Physical Therapists at Southwest Health with specialized training in pelvic floor therapy and women’s health.

Pregnancy and childbirth place unique demands on the body, particularly the pelvic floor, the muscles that support the bladder, bowel, and reproductive organs. Many women experience symptoms such as urinary leakage, pelvic pain, pressure, or core weakness during pregnancy and after delivery. While these concerns are common, they are not “normal” and should not be dismissed as something women simply have to live with.

During the presentation, Roche and Hoppenjan will explain what pelvic physical therapy entails and how it can support women throughout the perinatal journey.

The program is ideal for expectant parents, postpartum mothers, and anyone interested in learning more about pelvic health and recovery. Participants will leave with practical tools and reassurance that support is available for common pregnancy and postpartum concerns.
