As the Director of Anesthesia Services, Bruce has been providing anesthesia and pain management services to Southwest Health since 1988. He was the first anesthesia provider to perform epidurals pain management at Southwest Health for labor and post-surgical pain. Bruce specializes in several different pain management techniques that manage the perioperative, intraoperative, and postoperative needs of his patients. 

Prior to coming to Southwest Health, Bruce worked as a CRNA at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, and other Critical Access Hospitals in Northeast Iowa and in Southwest Wisconsin. As a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA), Bruce is a member of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetist and the Wisconsin Association of Nurse Anesthetists.

Personal Interest – Bruce and wife Sharon, also a registered nurse, have three children – the oldest, Caiti, is a teacher in early childhood development, Kenzie is finishing her BSN this year at Winona State University, and Trey is in high school. Bruce enjoys watching his son’s basketball games and working with his Newfoundland dogs in water rescue training and certification. Bruce also enjoys reading, watching a good movie and doing things with family and friends.
