Folklore & More

Sept 2015

Prepare yourself for a trip back in time. Experience the events of folklore and history that shaped our local area and the people who live here. Young At Heart’s own Kent Scheuerell will have some fun, along with all of us… plus perhaps a few volunteer participants for skits! Discover all sorts of things you never knew about local folklore and history. This special program is dedicated to Mrs. Elona Kindschi who shared her stories with Kent and the sixth graders he taught for 38 years at the Platteville Middle School. Kent will show you that learning history can be a fun activity. Find out about:

  • The Naming of Grant County
  • Platteville’s Early History
