Requirements
- Requires a LPN degree from an accredited school of nursing, certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), fulfillment of licensure of the State of Wisconsin for a LPN, and be legally eligible to practice in the state of Wisconsin.
- Minimum of one year LPN experience in respective department required.
- Knowledge of and understands the Wisconsin Nurse Practice Act and LPN Scope of Practice, basic computer skills and of specialized equipment used within the department.
Work Hours
We are seeking a full-time (36 hours/week) Specialty Services Surgery Coordinator to work Monday-Friday.
Job Summary
The Specialty Services Surgery Coordinator provides assistance with scheduling procedures and surgeries ordered by specialty clinic providers. Tasks include, but not limited to, placing surgery orders, providing education to patients pre-operatively, initiating prior authorization encounters, and provide on-site assistance when patients are in for their office visits. The scheduler will play a key role for an open line of communication between physicians, specialty clinics, and other departments within the hospital. Will be able to respond to written and oral correspondence regarding schedule changes/cancellations in a timely accurate manner creating consistency. Coordinator will streamline an order process between specialty clinics and surgery departments. Will be cross-trained to provide assistance in departments, if needed.
