Requirements
- Requires a diploma or degree form an accredited school of nursing.
- One to two years’ experience in a clinic or hospital setting preferred.
- Must have current and valid Registered Nurse License from the State of Wisconsin.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Basic proficiency in word processing and Excel programs; software proficiency covering a variety of health care / clinical record applications.
- One to two years’ experience in an ambulatory specialty care clinic, specifically adult oncology, is preferred
Work Hours
We are growing and are seeking a full-time (40 hours/week) RN to work in our Specialty Clinic from 8:00am-4:30pm, Monday- Friday.
Job Summary
The UW Health Specialty Clinic RN administers nursing care to designated ambulatory specialty patients in a clinic setting in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act and supervision of a licensed physician, physician’s assistant, and/or nurse practitioner. They perform a variety of direct patient care duties in compliance with physicians’ orders and appropriate protocol. They perform a variety of indirect patient care duties under the supervision of the Clinic Manager or Director. The Clinic RN reviews and prepares clinical records prior to clinic dates to ensure referring physicians’ notes and corresponding reports are available for the reference by the specialist.
