Requirements

  •  Requires a diploma or degree from an accredited school of nursing.
  • One to two years’ experience in a clinic or hospital setting preferred.
  • Must have current and valid Registered Nurse License from the State of Wisconsin.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain immediately after hire required.
  • Basic proficiency in word processing and Excel programs; software proficiency covering a variety of health care/clinical record applications.
  • RNs must complete a course on Chemotherapy Administration within the first year of starting chemotherapy administration. This course can be demonstrated by successful completion of the Oncology Nursing Society/Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation Chemotherapy Biotherapy Certificate Course or by the successful completion of the University Of Wisconsin Chemotherapy Administration Course.

Work Hours

  1. We are seeking a full-time RN to work four days per week from 7:30am-5:00pm.

Job Summary

Administers nursing care to designated outpatients in a clinic setting in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act and supervision of a licensed physician, physician’s assistant, and/or nurse practitioner. Performs a variety of direct patient care duties in compliance with physicians’ orders and appropriate protocol. Performs a variety of indirect patient care duties under the supervision of the Clinic Manager. Reviews and prepares clinical records prior to clinic dates to ensure referring physicians’ notes and corresponding reports are available for the reference by the specialist. In addition, the nurse will be cross-trained to work in the infusion center as needed, administering chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other IV treatments in accordance with established protocols.
