Women’s Choice Award
Southwest Health’s Emergency and OB Departments have both been recognized as “Best Hospitals” by the Women’s Choice Awards. Our OB Department has been rated in the Top 1% of hospitals and Emergency Departments in the Top 5%. We are dedicated to treating every patient with compassion and care and are proud to receive this recognition. The Women’s Choice award has also recognized Southwest Health in its Top Hospital category.
Newsweek’s World’s Best Hospital
Southwest Health was recognized as one of Newsweek’s World’s Best Hospitals in 2022. The rankings, presented by Newsweek with data from Statista, used data from hospital recommendations from peers, including surveys measuring patient experience, patient safety, hygiene measures, and treatment quality.
2022 Guardian of Excellence Award Winner
Southwest Health announced they have been named a 2022 Human Experience (HX) Guardian of Excellence Award® winner by Press Ganey, the global leader in healthcare experience solutions and services. This award is part of Press Ganey’s annual ranking of the country’s top hospitals and health systems, according to performance in patient and employee experience. With this endorsement, Southwest Health is recognized as a leader in the healthcare industry.
Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers
Southwest Health was recognized as one of six Wisconsin hospitals to receive the highest marks for nurse communication, according to the Hospital Consumer Assessment of healthcare providers and Systems from CMS. 91% of patients responded that “nurses always communicated well.”
Joint Commission Accreditation
Southwest Health is proud to be fully accredited by the Joint Commission, an independent, not-for-profit that certifies health care organizations and programs across the United States. Its mission is to continuously improve health care for the public, in collaboration with other stakeholders, by evaluating health care organizations and inspiring them to excel in providing safe and effective care of the highest quality and value. They work to ensure all people always experience the safest, highest quality, best-value health care across all settings. Joint Commission accreditation is recognized nationwide as a symbol of quality that reflects an organization’s commitment to meeting certain performance standards.
Top 10% in Patient Satisfaction – ER
We are honored our own patients made this possible. Being in the top tier of hospitals in the nation for patient satisfaction in the ER is something we’re very proud of.
Laureate Award for Workplace Excellence
For the outstanding work environment it provides its employees, Southwest Health was recognized on July 16, 2015, when the Jackson Group, a North Carolina-based survey services and consulting firm, presented the health care network with the prestigious Laureate Award for Workplace Excellence.
The Laureate Award for Workplace Excellence was bestowed on Southwest Health to recognize high scores on work climate surveys. Southwest Health’s own employees gave the scores as they rated factors that create a healthy and engaging workplace. The Laureate Award is issued only after certifying high survey results and reviewing the organization’s internal work plans for constantly improving the workplace.
