Zonya Foco, America’s Nutrition Leader, Returns to Present
Southwest Health announces a major community event is coming to southwest Wisconsin with the return of celebrity nutritionist Zonya Foco, RDN. In 2010 Zonya delivered a rousing presentation to a Platteville crowd numbering more than 300, and on Tuesday, June 18, she returns to inspire once again with an all new program titled, “Get Your Healthy On!” This event is free and open to everyone who wants to find simple ways to make a big impact on their health.
“This is part of our ongoing series of events and programs called My Healthy Life,” says Jaime Collins, Southwest Health Director of Marketing and Communications. “We’re out to create a healthier southwest Wisconsin, and what I admire about Zonya is she has an almost magical way of delivering the ideas we all need in a fun way that naturally leaves you feeling motivated and energized.”
“I don’t want people to miss this once in a decade chance to see Zonya,” says Collins, “This presentation is all new, so we’re pulling out the stops to accommodate everyone by reserving the Velzy Commons in the Ullsvik Center on the UW Platteville campus.”
“Get Your Healthy On!” will offer vital but simple guidance on living healthier and eating healthier. Says Collins, “We are listening when people tell us they want to know how to make healthier meals for their families. This program delivers.”
For anyone concerned about heart disease, diabetes, cancer, Alzheimer’s, or for those who simply want to lose weight, this is an important event. For those who want to know the real truth behind fat, sugar, and carbs, this is also an event not to miss. Zonya will help the audience discover what really matters while sorting through what people really need to know about the different diet plans out there, from low-carb to paleo to keto and plant-based eating. And she will deliver a simpler plan for eating real foods anyone can do for a lifetime.
Zonya will guide the audience through a full day of typical meal choices while demonstrating how simple real-food trade-ups can please the palate while still getting to fitness goals. Along the way, Zonya will inspire those in attendance to find the personal resolve to make real change happen.
“Zonya is among the most exciting, inspiring, vital, and unforgettable speakers in America,” says Collins. Her message is one absolutely everyone should hear. Of course, that’s exactly why absolutely everyone is invited to join us. Come ready to get your healthy on.”
Though the venue can accommodate a large audience, seating is limited, and registration is required by either visiting southwesthealth.org/myhealthylife/programs or by calling Southwest Health at (608) 342-0995.
