Southwest Health Awarded for Consistent Workplace Excellence

For the third year in a row, Southwest Health has earned the Laureate Workplace Excellence Award presented by Bivarus, a national workplace development consulting firm. The honor is the result of Southwest Health’s success in creating an exceptional work climate as measured by employee responses to an annual work satisfaction survey.

The Laureate award recognizes excellence in internal communication, employee involvement, personal commitment to the organization, and employee perceptions of leadership.

Southwest Health CEO Dan Rohrbach says, “Achieving this recognition three years straight is a high honor because it means our employees feel positive about where they work, and that translates to quality health care. Everyone benefits from our collective drive to be better, and our employees have proven that they are committed to excellence.”

The hospital is consistently ranked in the top tiers of hospitals nationwide for patient satisfaction. Overall, the local health system has grown revenue by more than 86 percent in the past four years and is regularly investing in new construction, in new technology, in new services, and in its people. The number of Southwest Health employed medical practitioners has also grown from just two to 38, and its Epione Pavilion facility in Cuba City regularly achieves awards and recognitions, such as its five star skilled nursing facility recognition by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

Says Rohrbach, “We are on a mission to create a positive and inspiring environment for our employees, patients and our communities. I could not be more proud of our talented staff for their outstanding performance. Our team is achieving amazing results, and I’m excited for the many great things our future holds. ”

The survey was administered in May of this year with 96 percent of the staff reporting Southwest Health is a “great place to work.”
