Generous Investment in Community Health
Major gift from Dick and Patty Kopp will improve lives in southwest Wisconsin.
For local residents Dick and Patty Kopp, the holiday spirit of generosity extends far beyond family. Before year’s end, the Platteville couple made a tangible investment in their community by making a very generous $65,000 gift to the Southwest Health Foundation. Their gift allows the Foundation’s volunteer Board of Directors to fund numerous projects, including special trips for residents of the skilled nursing unit at Epione Pavilion, new AccuVein equipment that helps nurses locate veins with greater ease and accuracy, equipment for the Orthopedic Institute, as well as lifesaving equipment for the Southwest Health Emergency Medical Services (EMS) program.
Dick and Patty Kopp are long time residents of Platteville, having for many years owned and as partners managed The House of Insurance in Platteville. The couple has also long been active in community life, supporting Platteville’s business, health and education sectors.
“We at Southwest Health are very fortunate and extremely grateful for all of the many year-end donations that thoughtful residents of southwest Wisconsin have chosen to grant us to improve local health care,” says Southwest Health Foundation Director Tammie Richter. “The gift made by Dick and Patty is especially impactful because its reach is so broad and long lasting. We are truly grateful that Dick and Patty have joined hundreds of others this holiday season in helping bring better care and better lives to people at all ages this year and far into the future. This gift and all our gifts are tremendously important southwest Wisconsin, and we greatly appreciate every one of our generous donors.”
