Dan Rohrbach, Chief Executive Officer
With 18 years in leadership roles in rural healthcare organizations, Dan brings SHC a high level of management skill and experience. Yet, those who know him best say it’s his personality and attitude that make him an uncommonly strong leader.
Growing up on a dairy farm in Ashley, North Dakota, Dan first learned the value of good hard work. With a scholarship to play football and run track at Valley City State University, he made the hard work payoff by becoming an All-American in football. Later, Dan went on to earn a Masters in Management from the University of St. Scholastica in Duluth, Minnesota.
The winning attitude he cultivated in college and athletics served him well as a young healthcare executive rising quickly, gaining experience and meeting challenges. After 3 years of experience in long-term care and six years in rural healthcare finance, Dan took on his first Chief Executive Officer position at the age of 32 at Essentia Health in Ada, Minnesota. There, he brought the organization through numerous financial and operational challenges to create a high performing local health system with a dedicated team of employees and a strong medical staff. Dan’s career has also included successful leadership and management positions with the Benedictine Health System and Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby, Minnesota.
Now at SHC, Dan is putting his exceptional leadership skills to work to realize the full potential of an organization that enjoys strong community support, an excellent medical staff and employees, a solid financial footing and beautiful facilities. Since his arrival in August, 2011, SHC has recruited many key staff and physicians, added powerful new diagnostic imaging technologies, and made exciting additions and expansions to services. Today, buoyed by Dan’s natural leadership abilities and can-do attitude, SHC’s future and the future of local healthcare in Southwest Wisconsin now shines brighter than ever before.
Dan and his wife Amy, an accountant, have three children, including a daughter in high school and twins in middle school. He is an avid fisherman, golfer and racquetball player.
Robert Pastor, Vice President of Patient Care Services / Chief Nurse Executive
Though his passion for people and caring is what brought him to a career in healthcare, it’s his enthusiasm for education and management that has been the hallmark of Robb’s success.
Having grown up in Detroit Michigan, Robb attended Henry Ford Community College early in his academic life, earning two Associate Degrees and graduating Summa Cum Laude. He then earned a B.S. in Business Administration (again graduating Summa Cum Laude) from Cleary University in Ann Arbor and an MBA from the University of Texas – Permian Basin.
Today, Robb is an experienced 16 year veteran Registered Nurse who understands healthcare operations because he brings real life experience to his education and well-honed management and leadership skills. And, having served in a wide range of clinical settings at excellent facilities across four states – a 225 bed sub-acute/rehab facility in Dearborn, Michigan, med/surg and oncology nursing in Vicksburg, Mississippi, med/surg, pediatrics and swing bed in Big Spring, Texas, and most recently Director of Nursing at Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby, Minnesota—Robb brings SHC outstanding operational experience of exceptional depth and breadth. In addition, Robb offers extensive quality improvement experience, exemplified by his Green Belt in Six Sigma.
Rob is always active in various community groups, such as United Way, Animal Rescue Teams, and the American Heart Association. His wife Andrea is SHC’s Director of Health Information Management. In their spare time, they enjoy traveling and spending time with their two dogs. Robb also enjoys DJ’ing, music and film.
Matthew Streeter, Chief Financial Officer
Matt brings SHC in-depth experience in diverse leadership roles, ranging from front-line operations to senior administration. He’s also a strategic thinker with a passion for innovation and a values-driven CFO who understands rural healthcare and the important benefits they provide their communities.
Matthew grew up in the Oshkosh/Fond Du Lac area of Wisconsin, graduating high school from Winnebago Lutheran Academy. He attended two private liberal arts colleges before earning his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. He later completed his MBA at Lakeland College in Sheboygan, Wisconsin.
Matthew brings SHC significant prior experience in investments and banking which he did before embarking on his healthcare career. Most recently, he served more than six years as Director of Finance and Hospital Support at Calumet Medical Center in Chilton, Wisconsin (part of Affinity Health System/Ministry Health Care), where he managed numerous hospital departments as a member of the Senior Leadership Team. Matthew brings SHC special expertise in healthcare management, operations, compliance, budgeting, planning and reimbursement. He enjoys discussing the future of healthcare, in particular the essential roles patient satisfaction, quality, and revenue cycle efficiency will play in keeping healthcare viable and strong in rural communities.
In his spare time, Matthew enjoys cooking and considers himself an amateur gourmet chef. He also spends time at farmer's markets, reading cookbooks, traveling, camping, and visiting the great wineries of Wisconsin.
Steve McCarthy, Vice President of Strategy Development
Coming to SHC with a strong background in patient are and deep experience managing, growing, and dveloping both clinics and clinical services, Steve has long demonstrated an exceptional commitment to rural health and to shaping the delivery of patient centere care.
Hilbert, Wisconsin is Steve's hometown, yet he has strong roots throughout the southwest region of the state as his father was born and raised around Highland, his mother near Richland Center, and a family tree farm has long been maintained in Clyde. Steve earned his BS Degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Wisconsin - LaCrosse and his MBA from the University of Phoenix - Madison Campus. He brings SHC wide ranging and valuable experience in stategic planning and business development as well as building projects, quality, professional recruitment and development, and service management. His many awards and accolades inlcude being named State and National Nursing Home Administrator of the Year while in an interim role.
For Steve, living in rural communities has also always meant being engaged in local leadership outside work. He has served as village trustee, chamber board member, and school board member among other community leadership posts. He and his wife Linda, a physical therapist, have two daughters, Megan and Halle. In his spare time, Steve enjoys hunting, fishing, and family travel.
Holly Beehn, Director of Human Resources
With more than 15 years experience in human resources, Holly brings tremendous health care recruiting and HR policy administration talent to SHC.
Holly earned her undergraduate degree in human resources from the University of WI- Stevens Point and is currently pursuing her Masters degree from the University of WI- Platteville. She is a Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt who understands quality improvement and is an expert at the complex statistical methods of achieving excellence.
Holly started off her Human Resources career working at a pharmaceutical contract lab in Middleton, Wisconsin. From there she moved into manufacturing, working for Land O’ Lakes at their Spencer, Wisconsin, cheese plant facility. After a year, she was quickly promoted and relocated to their newly acquired butter plant in Madison as part of their Senior Leadership team, overseeing Human Resources. Holly moved into healthcare as a Senior Human Resources Business Partner for Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield, Wisconsin, in 2006. She was promoted and trained as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt managing projects throughout the hospital before joining Southwest Health Center in 2011.
Holly and her husband Michael have three children ages 8, 4, and 20 months that keep them busy at home. They are active in their church and enjoy music, theater and traveling with their family.
