Birthing Center

You're excited, nervous, and a little fearful all at the same time. We understand how having a baby can make you feel.

Our Preparation for Childbirth classes will give you a better understanding of the growth of your baby, the many changes taking place in your body, and the process of labor and delivery. We'll focus on what you need to know during and after labor, including the stages of labor, breathing and relaxation techniques, complications, taking care of your newborn, and postpartum concerns.

There is no greater experience in life than giving birth to your child. It's an occasion you'll remember the rest of your life, and our Preparation for Childbirth classes will enable you to approach the birth of your child with all the confidence and knowledge you need to make it the joyful experience it should be.

Our Visitor Policy
We encourage visitors to stop by and share in the joy of the new birth. See our visitor guidelines for any questions you may have.

Newborn Photos
Southwest Health Center provides a secure online place for you to share photos of your newborn with grandparents, friends, and others who may not be able to get to the hospital. The service is provided free of charge to our new families.

Please note that it may take several days to post on the site, because the film is mailed upon the baby's discharge. This is for baby's safety and security.
